B.A., LL.B. : Captain, R.G.A., B.E.F., France. Enlisting in London in November, 1916, was commissioned from No. 2 Cadet School 10th March, 1917. Crossing to France 17th April, was posted to 10th Siege Battery 5th May and, although wounded at Polygon Wood, remained with it until demobilisation, then returning to Australia. Promoted lieutenant, 10th September and captain, 23rd December, 1918. Mentioned in Despatches. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later at St. Paul's College. [Incorrectly listed in Book of Remembrance as ROBERT Ernest Denison]
