Book of Remembrance entry
B.E. : Lieutenant, R.F.A., B.E.F., France. Enlisting in London 14th February, 1916, in Royal Horse Artillery, was gazetted second-lieutenant from Cadet School, St. John''s Wood, 7th July. Crossing to France on 29th, served until wounded at Ribemont-sur-Aisne, 9th April, 1918, and evacuated to hospital. Afterwards detailed for light duties until demobilisation, then returning to Australia. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later one year in Arts.
