Book of Remembrance entry
B.D.S. : Gunner, 105th Howitzer Battery, A.I.F., France. Enlisting 1st August, 1916, and sailing 25th October, arrived in France in April, 1917, and fought at Bullecourt and Ypres till invalided to hospital in November. After six weeks rejoined battery and served with it at Dernancourt, the Somme and elsewhere until demobilisation. Early education at Cleveland St. Intermediate High School.
