B.Sc.Agr. : Signaller, 6th A.L.H. Regt. A.I.F., Palestine. Enlisting 28th February, 1917, and sailing 1st September, was in Wireless Corps and passing first in Signal School, Zeitoun, joined unit as Regimental Signaller in June, 1918. After a short period on Lines of Communication served through Jordan Valley Campaign till capture of Amman, though slightly wounded in July. In October invalided to Egypt and to Australia early in 1919. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
