M.C., M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, R.A.M.C., B.E.F., France and Salonika. Enlisting and sailing 15th March, 1915, served at 18th General Hospital from May to October and then with gth Field Ambulance, Guards Division, till 12th October, 1917, when wounded and gassed at Steenbeck. After leave from November to April, 1918, was with 36th G.H., Salonika, from June, 1918, to February, 19x9, returning to Australia 2nd July. Awarded M.C. for work in Ypres sector 31st July, 1917, and Mentioned in Despatches. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later at St. Andrew''s College.
