Book of Remembrance entry
B.A. : Lieutenant, 3rd Battn. Camel Corps, 15th A.L.H. Regt. and 20th Battn., A.I.F., Gallipoli and Palestine. Enlisting 27th May, 1915, and sailing 18th June with reinforcements, joined 20th Battn. and fought at Gallipoli—Walker''s Ridge, etc.—until the Evacuation. Transferring to A.L.H. early in 1916, was posted to 3rd Battn. as second-lieutenant, serving at Gaza, Beersheba and elsewhere, being attached to 67th Squadron R.F.C. as observer, and having one fight in the air over Enemy Lines. Joining 15th A.L.H. Regt. 1st July, 1918, was in the final Advance to Damascus. Promoted second-lieutenant, 12th January, and lieutenant, 12th May, 1917. Member of Teachers'' College.
