L.R.C.P. and L.R.C.S. (Edin.), L.R.F.P.S. (Glas.), Med. V : Corporal, 2nd Machine Gun Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 19th June, 1916, and sailing 23rd October with 7th Reinforcements 14th M.G. Coy., joined 22nd Coy. 17th October, 1917, and served at Passchendaele, the Somme and Messines. Demobilised in United Kingdom 1st June, 1920, after leaving Coy. early in 1919 to finish course at Edinburgh. Early education at Newington College.
