Enlisting in December, 1917, and sailing in March, 1918, as S.M.O. 7th Sea Transport, served also as M.O. in charge Pneumonic Influenza Hospital (Military Division), Quarantine Station, North Head, 1918-19. Early education at Toowoomba Grammar School.
