Book of Remembrance entry
M.B. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 14th July, 1915, and sailing 22nd December, joined 4th Australian Field Ambulance in Egypt, 1st February, 1916, and transferred to 12th four weeks later. Crossing with it to France, was R.M.O. 47th and 50th Battns. for short periods and joined 9th A.F.Amb. 27th August, 1917. In August, 1918, rejoined 4th, remaining with it until demobilisation. Promoted major, 24th August, 1917. Awarded M6daille de la Reconnaissance and Mentioned in Despatches. Early education at St. Ignatius'' College.
