Book of Remembrance entry
M.B. : Captain, 55th Battn., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 25th August, 1915, and sailing 10th March, 1916, joined battn. at Ferry Post, Suez Canal Defences, in May, and served in France from June until wounded at Fleurbaix on German side of Line in July. Was Prisoner of War in Germany for two years and interned in Holland for six months, returning to Australia in May, 1919. Member of Teachers' College and one year in Arts (Evening).
