Book of Remembrance entry
Econ. : Driver (Temporary Corporal), 20th and 14th Coys., A.A.S.C., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 5th August, 1915, and sailing 18th November, arrived Suez 18th December with 20th Coy. A.A.S.C. and was on Lines of Communication in Cairo, transferring to 14th Coy. at Serapeum, 1916. Crossing to France in June, served continuously in Pozieres, Somme, Bullecourt, Messines, Ypres, Villers-Bretonneux sectors and until demobilisation. Early education at Fort St. High School.
