Book of Remembrance entry
B.A. : Lieutenant, 10th and 1st Battns., Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, B.E.F., France and Salonika. Enlisting in United Kingdom, was commissioned 11th June, 1915, and served in France in 19 15-16 till wounded in July, being promoted lieutenant on 29th. On recovery transferred to 1st Battn. and, proceeding to Salonika, served till demobilisation. Rhodes Scholar, 1915. Deputy Governor, Northern Provinces, Soudan. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later at St. Paul's College.
