Book of Remembrance entry
Med. II : Gunner, 10th Battery, A.F.A., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 1st November, 1916, and sailing 10th May, 1917, arrived in France 12th September and joined battery at Ypres. Served also at Hill 63, Ploegsteert and Messines where gassed on 22nd March, 1918, and evacuated to England. Rejoining battery 13th November, served until demobilisation. Early education at Newington College, Newcastle Collegiate, Sydney and Newcastle High Schools and St. Joseph's College. Later at St. Andrew's.
