V.D., Diploma in Military Science : Captain, 1st Divisional Engineers, A.I.F., Egypt. After service on staff duties as Inspecting Officer, Defended Ports in Australia, was attached to H.Q. 1st and 2nd Divisional Engineers, Egypt, on special staff duties till contracting sickness about November, 1915. Upon return to Australia, was engaged on staff and recruiting duties and appointed War Pension Magistrate on special commission from Governor-General. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later one year in Engineering.
