M.B., Ch.M. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli and Egypt. Enlisting 14th October, 1914, and sailing with No. 2 Australian General Hospital 22nd November, transferred in Egypt to 4th Australian Field Ambulance, serving at Gallipoli from the Landing to the Evacuation and subsequently in Egypt, returning in 1916. Promoted major, 7th June, 1915. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later at St. Andrew''s College.
