Book of Remembrance entry
M.B., Ch.M. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in 1915, was appointed R.M.O. 34th Battn. 1st March, 1916, and, sailing 2nd May, crossed to France with 3rd Brigade, serving in Armentieres, Messines and Ypres areas till death. Promoted major, 20th June, 1917. Killed in Action, Passchendaele, 12th October, 1917, while attending wounded at advanced dressing station, and buried in Buttes New British Cemetery, Polygon Wood, Zonnebeke. Early education at Sydney Church of England Grammar School.
