Book of Remembrance entry
D.D.Sc. : Lieutenant, 1st Battn., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting 3rd May, 1915, and sailing 12th July with reinforcements, joined battn. at Gallipoli 4th November, was wounded on 29th and evacuated to Malta. Rejoining battn. in Egypt in January, crossed to France and fought at Pozieres, Bullecourt and elsewhere till wounded again at Passchendaele, 15th September, 1917, and evacuated to No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Wimereux. Rejoining battn. at Zonnebeke in January, 1918, was wounded a third time at Strazeele, 15th April, and invalided to Australia, arriving 4th September.
