M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 16th January, 1917, and sailing 7th February as S.M.O. transport Wiltshire , served with No. 1 Australian General Hospital, Rouen, from 30th September to 12th October. Then joined 10th Australian Field Ambulance, becoming R.M.O. 34th Battn. until 25th December, when transferred to 9th A.F. Amb. Was R.M.O. 3rd Machine Gun Battn. from 25th July, 1918, to 30th November, then rejoined 34th Battn. and became R.M.O. Divisional Reinforcements Wing from 8th January, 1919, till demobilisation. Early education at St. Ignatius'' College.
