Arts I : Lieutenant, 4th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 28th July, 1916, and sailing in November, served from n th May, 1917, at Bullecourt, Ypres, Messines, the Somme and until demobilisation, although wounded at Roisel, 11th September, 1918. Promoted second-lieutenant, 1st August, 19 18; lieutenant, 1st January, 1919. Early education at St. Ignatius'' College and Sydney Grammar School.
