LL.B. : Gunner, 8th Battery, A.F.A., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in November, 1915, and sailing n th May, 1916, with 26th Battery, served with 8th at Somme, Messines, Nieuport, Ypres, Menin Road, Passchendaele, Villers-Bretonneux and August Advance. Gassed at Ypres in November, 1917, wounded 17th August, 1918, and invalided to England and thence to Australia, arriving 30th March, 1919. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
