B.A., Law II : Lieutenant, R.F.A., B.E.F., France. Enlisted in A.I.F. but discharged as medically unfit in 1915. Sailing privately, re-enlisted in London in April, 1917, and was commissioned 8th December. Crossing to France, served until taken prisoner of war 27th May, 1918, being repatriated to England and returning to Australia in July, 1919. Promoted lieutenant 8th June, 1919. Early education at King's College, Goulburn. Later at St. Paul's.
