Book of Remembrance entry
Laboratory Assistant, Physics; Hon. Mechanical Supervisor to Carillon : Private, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 8th August, 1915, and sailing 17th December with No. 2 Australian General Hospital reinforcements, was with hospital at Mena and Wimereux until 20th May, 1917. Then was with 5th Australian Field Ambulance as stretcher-bearer till gassed at Ypres 21st November and evacuated to hospital. Rejoining ambulance 6th May, 1918, served until demobilisation.
