Book of Remembrance entry
M.B., Ch.M. : Lieutenant, R.A.M.C., B.E.F., France; also Captain, A.A.M.C., A.N. and M.E.F., New Guinea. Enlisting in February, 1915, and sailing in March, served with R.A.M.C. for 12 months, returning in May, 1916. Re-enlisting, served at Randwick Hospital and then at New Guinea from February, 1917, being invalided in December and demobilised medically unfit. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
