Book of Remembrance entry
B.D.S. : Private, 22nd Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in August, 1916, and sailing 31st October, served at Lagnicourt, Bullecourt and Ypres, being wounded at Westhoek 20th September, 1917, and evacuated to hospital. Rejoining battn. 8th October, was again evacuated to hospital, 1st November, and later to Australia, arriving in March, 1918. Early education at Sydney High School. Later at Teachers'' College.
